He might not be defending Arsenal’s net at the moment but he sure has to keep on defending himself. Reporters from England and Germany refuse to leave him alone and keep asking him whether he will be Arsenal’s number one goalkeeper again. His latest comments include: “I know I will play for Arsenal again. Coach will let me play. He knows it, I know it, and it does not matter if it takes another week. I read somewhere that Almunia thinks he deserves to be the starting goalkeeper, but he has never won a game for us yet.” Realizing he has had a few unfortunate games he continues: “There’s always going to be a goalie that is better for two or three matches, but I have never seen anyone do it over 10 games. I know I am one step ahead of the competition at Arsenal. I don’t foresee a young super hero taking my spot”
