Veteran goalkeeper Kasey Keller is back in the UK. After playing for recently relegated Borussia Mönchengladbach for two and a half years the 37 year old will be joining Fulham this week. Keller was signed because Fulham’s first goalkeeper Antti Niemi is sidelined due to an injury, which occured 3 weeks ago during the warm-up before their match against Arsenal. Ever since then 33 year old Tony Warner has been in between the posts for Fulham but he is now expected to be back-up goalkeeper to Keller.

Fulham is not Keller’s first Premier League club. He played goalkeeper for the Spurs from 2001 until January of 2005, and he also played for Millwall and Leicester City. Just last month Keller announced that he would retire should he not find a good team to play for. “If Fulham makes you an offer, it’s certainly not something you have to think about for very long” Keller said.
