According to Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp there is no better goalkeeper in the EPL than David James. "David's a superb goalie and, no disrespect to the other keepers, he should be in (the England squad). He's top man and he's been absolutely brilliant for me," he said. "He has been frightening for us. I don't think there's anyone that comes near him now. He's the best goalkeeper in the country and he would definitely be my England number one." Redknapp likes him so much, that he believes James will be good enough to play in to 2010 World Cup in South Africa…..should England qualify. "He might be 37, but Capello would remember Dino Zoff winning the World Cup at 40. Jamo will play on until he's 40-odd," he added. The stats seem to support Redknapp as we take a look at the Actim Index. David James leads the goalkeeper pack with a 13 point lead over Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia. Next are the two American goalkeepers Howard and Friedel and fifth on the list is Liverpool’s Reina. One more foreign goalkeeper, Edwin van der Sar stands between James and the next British goalkeeper, Robert Green. Top 5'sBarclays Premier League
