Barcelona manager Begiristain addressed the goalkeeping issues his club is currently facing: “We are looking for a goalkeeper to come in for six months as we continue to have faith in Jorquera. We want an experienced keeper, but also one that can integrate immediately," he explained. "Whoever it is must realize that we have a very good and number one keeper already." Backup goalkeeper Jorquera has been ruled out at least until summer after injuring his knee in an exhibition game. Because of this situation Barcelona now is talking to 33 year old Levante goalkeeper Cavallero. The Argentinian international is free to leave Levante after he did not receive a squad number this season, and seems to be the ideal short term solution for Barca.
